Artist Statement

Geoffrey Globus was born in Buffalo, New York in 1978 and spent his life in various places around Western New York before moving to Seattle in 2004. He is self-taught and has been working with wire for over a decade, continuously developing his method.

His works are inspired by both intangible and concrete concepts; utilizing traditional and invented symbolism to express them. His aim is to express one particular idea, a single point in time, a petrified action, personified in each piece.

It his goal to move into public art, either by having existing pieces enlarged, or building sight specific works.
